On Leap Day 2008, Friday February 29th, our lives were turned upside-down when our general practitioner said three words: “You have cancer.” At 34, Jen was diagnosed with Diffuse Large-B Cell Lymphoma.
The initial goal of this blog was to keep family and friends in the loop, document big words from doctors for all to Google, and to keep a history of all we’ve been through. Peter kept it for the first round of treatment, but now that I’ve relapsed, I’ve taken it over as a place to record my own experience, first hand. I’m also hoping that it is a developing resource for other lymphoma patients considering an autologous stem cell transplant. I haven’t found many patient accounts of the SCT experience on the internet, and I’m hoping to provide one for people behind me on this path.
